| A Guide to Karl Marx´s Das Kapital |
| Written by Edberto M. Villegas | |
This monograph is a response to the need for a better understanding of Marx’s most notable contribution to the analysis of human society, which is the political economy of capitalism. This work is an attempt to introduce the ideas and arguments of Marx in Das Kapital to suit the common reader, who may not have a background in economics and mathematics. The form of presentation adopted is the question and answer method so that this monograph may be used for teaching purposes, or as a supplement to the actual reading of the three volumes work of Marx, or it as a reference in an introductory course before reading Das Kapital.
It can also stand on its own without reading Das Kapital if the reader has neither time nor patience to wade through Marx’s long arguments and sentences. The author has capsulized as simple as possible all the basic arguments and conclusions of Marx without leaving out any important points in his critique of capitalism.2003, English ISBN 971-0325-05-1 8.5 x 11 in., 32 pages published by the Institute of Political Economy shipping weight: 80 grams P35 US$1 Table of Contents Preface Part I Commodities and Money The Production of Absolute and Relative Surplus Value Part II The Accumulation of Capital Part III The Reproduction and Circulation of the Aggregates Social Capital On the Rate of Profit Commercial Capital Money-Dealing Capital (Credit System) The Transformation of Surplus – Profit to Ground Rent Buy this book now |
